PROBATION SERVICES

Juvenile Empowering Therapy (JET):  The 36th Judicial District Juvenile Probation Department employs two Licensed Professional Counselors, to provide counseling services, to the youth served by the department, and their parents/families.  Our mission is to empower our youth, utilizing a strength-based approach, that connects actions with consequences, and provides youth with skills to make better choices, to shape their own lives. Our counselors serve as positive role models, by modeling the desired behaviors, communication patterns, and respect, that we want to instill in the youth we serve.  Furthermore, we connect youth and family, with specific resources in their community, while aiming to remove the stigma of mental health.
